Adam Lavoignet, CPA


With a Bachelors of Science Accounting degree from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, RI. Adam Lavoignet began his Public Accounting career in 2006 at one of Top 5 accounting firms- BDO Siedman LLP in Los Angeles, CA. Adam possesses a strong acumen in business accounting and taxation which allows him to strategically build wealth and lower taxes for business owners and individuals alike. In 2010 Adam created Lavoignet CPA & Associates in Orange County, CA with the goal to focus on small to medium sized business and create a comprehensive solution for accounting, tax and payroll. What sets Adam apart from the stereotypical accountant is his outgoing personality. While he enjoys golfing, traveling and being a foodie- what he loves most is spending time with his wife Nicole and two kids- Gianna and Adam Jr.

Bob Rasmusson, CPA

Bob is currently a partner with Mellotti and Rasmusson. Bob teamed up with John Mellotti in 2003 to create a CPA firm that could assist local businesses that were looking for growth and success.

Over the 30 years that he has been in public accounting he has advised 100s of business in starting, growing, maintaining and transitioning themselves into successful operations. He has held the role of CFO, Controller and Board Member of multiple national companies for his clients.

Bob Rasmusson was Co-Founder and CFO of Total Dental Administrators, Inc. headquartered in Utah, Total Dental Administrator Health Plan of Arizona and Dental Management Administrators. He is recognized for the successful start-up, development and growth of multiple companies in multiple states. Total Dental Administrators, Inc. and its affiliates were sold to Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina after successful negotiations that created a win-win situation for all parties involved.
In his current role with Mellotti and Rasmusson, Bob has concentrated much of his efforts assisting individuals with their personal tax matters.

This has included considerable work with trusts, estates and probate accounting.

Mira Ibrahim, CPA

Mira Ibrahim has graduated from the University of California, Riverside with her Bachelor’s degree in Finance in April of 2015. Mira has an entrepreneurial background, enabling her to relate closely with our business clients on both the business and accounting end of things. She has prior experience as an accounting manager, while also running her own Embroidery company by the name of, Zellya.  Growing up in Orange County, California, Mira loves nature hikes on a sunny day, being creative and spending time with her loved ones, which of course includes her baby parrot.

Christina Quezada


Christina Quezada earned a double Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from California State University, Fullerton in May 2017. She began her accounting career in 2016 as a part-time bookkeeper for Lavoignet, CPA & Associates and has since then gained vast knowledge and experience in the accounting field. She is a certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor and is working towards becoming a Certified Public Accountant. Christina is a first-generation college graduate and strives to be a valuable asset to the team . She is Orange County born and raised and when she’s not crunching numbers, you can find her at Disneyland, spending time with her family, friends, or her adorable Yorkie Teddy.

Judi Coffin

Judi has over 25 Years of experience in Office Management and Client Services. She has worked in many different sectors during her career. She has worked as a teacher, paralegal, realtor and exectuive assistant She and her husband reside in Laguna Woods and in her free time she enjoys golfing and pottery.

Renee DeBruin

Renee DeBruin is an Enrolled Agent and Chartered Accountant.  She received her Bachelors in Accounting degree from Stellenbosch University and her Masters Degree in Accounting from University of Cape Town.  Afterwards, she was an audit manager at KPMG and a Senior Management Consultant with Price WaterhouseCoopers, LLP.  After public accounting, she was CFO at a multi-national manufacturing firm. She founded RDB Financial Services and later merged that practice with DeBruin & Thrift Accountancy Group, Inc.  Renee‘s expertise includes tax, accounting and payroll.  As a partner at Lavoignet, Renee is responsible for managing the teams that serve several of our larger tax and accounting clients.  Renee enjoys travel, real estate remodeling and spending time with her family at the beach.

Edwin Christopher

Edwin began his career at an early age while being raised by a single mom. At 13 Edwin ran for associated student body president and successfully won. In high school Edwin was selected to participate in an internship program at McKesson corporation in San Francisco, CA. When asked- most of the interns selected to focus on medical, law, or accounting fields. Edwin’s focus was on being the person at the top. But as history would have it, he was assigned to the mail room. Edwin’s first big break was when he dropped out of college at 18 and became the highest earning and youngest sales agent. In 2014, with Edwin’s help, iZZi Gadgets won best of show at the Las Vegas Consumer Electronics Show. Edwin also spent a few years at Paramount Studios in Venice, CA working on the Manny Pacquiao documentary, he toured with Lance Armstrong’s Nissan USA cycling team and managed the rollout of Verizon wireless’ 5G nationwide tour.

Currently, Edwin is the Co-founder of Milo- a patent pending AI one-click smart virtual interview recruitment system. He’s a Partner at the Lavoignet, Mellotti, & Rasmussen and the CFO of Yourchecks Inc. overseeing 30 Million annually with more than 2000 employees.

While his accomplishments speak volume what means most to him is spending time with his family and friends, especially his beautiful wife, and his chiweenie louie.

Peter Salman, CPA

Peter Salman graduated from the University of California, Fullerton, with his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting in May of 2015. He obtained his Master’s Degree in Accounting and Financial Management in 2019 from DeVry University while pursuing his CPA. Throughout his career Peter has taken a passion for helping clients with their tax strategies. His experience has enabled him to provide relevant and timely advice for clients. While growing up, soccer is his favorite sport; and Barcelona is his favorite city

Christine Zettler

Christine is a seasoned Accounting and Tax Professional. With over 20 years of experience, Christine supports individual and business clients with accounting, payroll and tax preparation. In addition, Christine is recognized for her in-depth knowledge of QuickBooks. As a highly proficient user, she tutors and supports client’s bookkeeping, report writing and technical issues throughout the year. Christine currently resides in Mission Viejo. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from California State University, Fullerton.

Allyson Deol

Senior Accountant

With a Bachelor’s degree from Johnson & Whales, Allyson Deol began her accounting career in 2017 with a focus in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management. Ally started her own catering business where she learned first hand the intricacies of payroll, AR/AP, bookkeeping, invoicing, cash flow management and experiences with a private online retail company. Ally joined the team in 2022 and to further her experiences in public accounting.

Ally is a foodie at heart and loves spending her free time eating at nice restaurants. Being from Orange County, she loves the beach and hiking with her Husband & Australian Shepard.

Jack Thrift, CPA


Jack Thrift is a CPA and he received his B.S. in Accountancy from University of Southern California.  He began his career at BDO Siedman LLP in Los Angeles, CA.  He also served as a Senior Audit Manager at Deloitte for several years prior to becoming CFO of some private and public companies.  After that, Jack created DeBruin & Thrift Accountancy Group, Inc. where he provided CFO services, bookkeeping and tax compliance to a variety of clients.  Jack’s expertise includes budgeting, forecasting, capital raising and M&A activities.  He brings this expertise to Lavoignet where he will be instrumental in growing our outsourced-CFO services.  When he is not working, Jack and his family enjoy traveling, surfing and playing music.

Sabar Purba EA, MBA

Sabar Purba received a Bachelor’s Degree in Tax and Accounting from the University of Indonesia and an MBA from National University. Sabar Purba began his Public Accounting career with Deloitte and Touche. He would then work at other public accounting firms as a Tax manager. With the extensive experience he has had throughout his career it has given him a solid foundation in tax, accounting and business management. What he loves most is spending time with his wife, daughter and son.

Marilyn J. Crary, CPA

Senior Tax Accountant

Marilyn has over twenty-two years of experience in public accounting. She has extensive experience in the area of estates and trusts and coordinates with attorneys in providing fiduciary accounting for her clients. She also prepares estate and fiduciary income tax returns and provides assistance to clients in identifying and carrying out the terms of trusts as set forth in the underlying trust documents. Additionally, her expertise includes planning and performing attestation engagements and has considerable experience with performing reviews and compilations of closely-held companies.

Although Marilyn was born and raised in the Midwest, she is a long-time resident of South Orange County. In her spare time, she enjoys her participation in the Rotary Club of Laguna Niguel, a community service organization.

Andrea De Ramos

Andrea De Ramos graduated from California State University of San Bernardino with her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in June 2017 and recently earned her Master’s Degree in Accounting and Financial Management in June 2020 from Keller Graduate School of Management. Andrea has fully devoted her career as being an accountant for the past three years, and is currently on track to become a CPA. Andrea comes from a huge Filipino family and her mom has always been her biggest role model. Aside from her professional career, Andrea genuinely values her time spent with her family and friends and most definitely enjoys being a mom to her fur babies. 

Alexandra Gardner

Executive Assistant

Alexandra Gardner, originally from North Carolina, graduated from High Point University with her Bachelor’s in Graphic Design in 2015. She has taken on a diverse range of jobs since graduating, including Furniture Designer and Assistant Manager. Alexandra also started and ran her own business in North Carolina prior to moving to California. Since April of 2021, she has enjoyed living in Anaheim, California with the love of her life. When she isn’t at work, you can find Alexandra watching Star Trek and gaming with friends, while getting cuddles from her cat, Luna.
